Willajean (Jeanie) Short

Willajean Short passed away on February 6th, 2021.  She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on November 24, 1939.  She had two brothers, Bill and Jerry, and 3 sisters, Judy, Margie, and Patty.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Eugene B. Short, her children Michael Short (Melinda), Steven Short (Lorene), Debra Weedon (Chris), six grandchildren (Erika, Matt, Jarred, Karsen, Khloe, and Keira, two great grandchildren (Noah, Easton), her sisters, Judy and Patty, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jeanie moved to Phoenix in 1971 with her husband Gene, where they owned and ran two successful Dairy Queens.  She was sweet caring and had a vibrant personality.  She loved to play card games, Bingo, and spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed.
