Vernon Walton

Vernon O. Walton, beloved husband, father and good friend to all he met, succumbed peacefully to a courageous 16 year battle with cancer at age 76 in the early hours of November 16th,surrounded by loving family & friends. An internationally award-winning former college professor, administrator and world traveler, this kind, wise & generous soul will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Alden Paine Walton, two sons: Jeffrey Charles Walton, Russell Edward Walton and three grandchildren: Sebastian, Audrey and Rebecca. "We will be known forever by the tracks we leave." (Dakota Nation proverb) A memorial and celebration of this great man's life will be held in January 2017.
