Tommy Callaway

Tommy Joe Callaway went to be with the Lord on October 23rd, 2018 at 02:28pm. Tommy was born on November 8th, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas to Curtis Harold Callaway and Lora Mae Eaves Callaway. He was the 6th bord of 8 children in the family. He is survived by his sister Naomi (callaway) Hickman and his brother Kenneth Callaway. He was a loving husband to his beloved Doris Ann Callaway until her passing in 1995. They had a wonderful marriage and blessed with 4 children: Sharon Kay(Callaway) Grotte, Larry Wayne Callaway, Anthony Shawn Callaway and Delinda Ann (Callaway) Bove. He has 12 Grand children and 17 Great grandchildren as well. Tommy was very loving and generous man who lived life to the very fullest. He was kind spirited, a big dreamer, and is loved by everyone lucky enough to have known him ! Tommy loved to write songs and enjoyed his gambling too. He had been living with Mikal Grotte (son in law) and Sharon Grotte for many years at their home in Arizona. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family who loved and care for him deeply. He was part of a very large family and was admired and loved by all of them. He will be sorely missed by all of those who knew him. We can take comfort in knowing that he is now having a great reunion in heaven, with his loved ones that have passed before him.
