On April 20th 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved Strauder Wayne O'Neal of Tucson, Arizona has been reunited with his loving parents Strauder and Evelyn O'Neal, his sister Anita Lane, his grandson Anthony James Stepaniak, and many other loved ones. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Edith Sue O'Neal; his devoted sister Peggy Colleen Foley; and his cherished children and their spouses; Nancy Marie Rosa and Robert, William Strauder O'Neal and Lara, Joseph Wayne O'Neal and Wendy, Leslie Allen O'Neal and Lisa, and Thomas Russell O'Neal and Jenna, nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on November 30th 1944. Wayne later moved to Tucson with his parents and sister and attended Rincon High School. Upon graduating, Wayne enlisted in the Navy Reserves and was called to active duty to serve on the USS Perkins during the Vietnam War. He joined Edith Sue in matrimony on September 19th 1964 while on leave. Wayne lived a very full and meaningful life of service to the Lord and his family. Wayne could repair carpeting, tile, roofing and just about anything else during his professional life. However, his greatest love was spreading his Christian faith around the world. When his professional services proved too taxing on his body, he devoted himself to missionary work, leadership in his church and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To honor Wayne's dynamic life, a military funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27th 2018 at the Arizona National Cemetery at nine-thirty in the morning.
