Shirley Garcia

Shirley J. Garcia

May 27, 1937 – September 4, 2020

Shirley was born in Ft. Defiance, AZ, graduated from high school in St. Michaels, AZ and worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 38 years in Chinle, AZ and Shiprock, NM, most recently as a Budget Assistant. She lived in Ft. Defiance, Chinle, AZ, Farmington, NM and Peoria, AZ.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and crocheting to support the Salvation Army and playing Bingo.

She is survived by John Garcia (son), Doris Garcia (daughter in law), Abel Garcia (grandson), Barbara Pickering (sister) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Abel Garcia, Parents: John D. Wallace Sr. and Antoinette T.  Wallace, Siblings: Della McCabe, Johanna Kee, John D. Wallace Jr., Rose Martinez.

The family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Pointe Arrowhead, Alliance Medical Clinic, Teamselect  Mobile Therapy and Desert Valley Hospice for assisting Shirley in Peoria.
