John Davis

John Hiram (Jack) Davis died September 29, 2017 at the age of 90 at Brookdale - Plaza Del Rio Care Center in Peoria. He is survived by his wife, Betty Warren Johnson Davis; his son, Robert Davis (Sharon) of Chino Valley; stepdaughter, Cherry Buffington; stepson, David Johnson (Cathy); 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Johnson Davis, and his daughter, Carol Kuskie. Born in Elmira, New York on January 10, 1927 the son of Earl and Emma Davis, John moved to Arizona when he was sixteen. He served in W.W. II in the 82nd Airborne. After the war, he went to work as a mechanic at the Paul J.P. Johnson Garage for his father-in-law. John eventually owned and operated the family business until he retired in 1994. Services for John will be held at the American Lutheran Church of Sun City, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd. on October 14th at 11:00 AM.
