Gerald (Gerry) Sly passed away peacefully at Banner Boswell Medical Center on 3/2/18, surrounded by his loved ones. Gerry was born on October 2, 1945 in Goffstown, New Hampshire. He graduated from Oyster River High School in Durham, New Hampshire. He served in the Navy for over 10 years and worked most of his life in the plumbing industry before retiring in 2011. Gerry and Soyla moved to Arizona in 2011. He had big heart and was passionate about his craft. He enjoyed playing cribbage and was an avid card player - playing Pinnacle every week at the American Legion. Gerry was quite a character. He never met a stranger and was quick to form a bond with others. He was funny and loved to banter with family and friends. He was someone you could count on when needed. He loved watching UFC and football. He was a huge Patriot fan. Gerry will be missed by many. Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Soyla, daughter Lara (Steve) Utter, step-sons Henry (Rick), Matthew, grandchildren, Annie, Tyler, Andrew, Christian and Corum. He is preceded in death by his brother Gene and parents Hubert and Virginia Sly.
